What is a Persoonsvorm?
In Dutch, the ‘persoonsvorm’ is the main verb of a sentence that changes based on the subject. It tells us who is doing the action and in what tense. Understanding how to find it is very important for constructing sentences correctly.
How to Identify the Persoonsvorm
- Look for the main verb in the sentence.
- Check if it agrees with the subject in number (singular or plural) and person (first, second, or third person).
- Remember that the persoonsvorm changes with tenses (past, present, future).
